Over a hundred people attended the debate between Councilor Linehan and Suzanne Lee at the South Boston Lithuanian Club Monday night. The candidates answered questions submitted by South Boston Neighborhood Associations. Michael Dowling, Artistic Director of Medicine Wheel Productions, President of the South Boston Association of Non-Profits and long-time South Boston resident, moderated the event with skill and humor. At the end of the debate, residents left informed on the similarities and differences of the candidates and of the neighborhoods too.
This is the first time Fort Point Neighborhood Association (FPNA) co-sponsored an event with fellow South Boston Neighborhood Associations. The FPNA looks forward to working together again and sharing ideas in order to support each other and advocate in a more powerful way.
Special thanks to: the South Boston Lithuanian Club for providing an inviting and hospitable venue, to Lincoln Tavern & Restaurant for their tasty pizzas, to Bee’s Knees Supply Co. for their gourmet cheese platter, to Starbucks West Broadway for their renowned coffee, and to Southie Shuttle for getting us there and back.
Thank you to the Bill Linehan and Suzanne Lee for the flexibility in your schedules and for recognizing the importance of the issues of South Boston residents in District 2.
Don’t forget to vote this Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Polls will be open from 7am to 8pm.
